1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

Welcome to UrbanZen, operated by UrbanZen Private Limited (CIN: U96905WB2026PTC286698), having its registered office at 1st Floor, 150/86, Gopal Mishra Road, Behala, Kolkata – 700034, West Bengal, India.

By downloading our mobile application, creating an account, or accessing our online booking services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

To use UrbanZen services, you must be at least 18 years of age or possess legal guardian consent. If you do not agree to all provisions of this agreement, you must immediately cease accessing or using our platform.

2. Scope of Services & Intermediary Role

UrbanZen operates an online digital platform and aggregator ecosystem that connects clients with hand-selected, verified salon, beauty parlor, barber shop, and wellness spa establishments ("Establishment Partners").

• Intermediary Platform: UrbanZen acts strictly as an online booking technology platform under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
• Partner Independence: Establishment Partners operating on UrbanZen are independent businesses. Salon practitioners, hair stylists, estheticians, and therapists are employees or contractors of the respective establishment, not UrbanZen.
• Service Execution: The physical beauty treatments, haircuts, massages, and salon environment safety are the sole operational responsibility of the booked Establishment Partner.

3. Account Registration & Security

To schedule appointment slots and earn rewards, you must register an account on the UrbanZen Mobile App or website.

• You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete personal profile details (including your full name, mobile number, and active email address).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and dynamic OTP (One-Time Password) access codes.
• You agree to notify UrbanZen Support immediately at support@urbanzen.co.in if you suspect unauthorized access or security breaches on your account.

4. Appointment Booking Rules & Premises Conduct

When placing a reservation through the UrbanZen application:

• Slot Reservations: Appointments are subject to real-time slot availability and confirmation from the selected salon or spa.
• Punctuality: Clients are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled slot time. Salons reserve the right to release reserved slots 15 minutes past the start time if no prior notice is communicated.
• Premises Behavior: Clients must maintain decorum and respect salon staff, artists, and fellow patrons. Harassment, physical violence, property damage, or illegal conduct on salon premises will result in instant account ban and reporting to local authorities.

5. Pricing, Taxes & Payment Gateways

All service prices, package costs, and applicable charges listed on UrbanZen are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).

• Digital Payments: Online transactions processed via the app utilize RBI-approved, PCI-DSS certified payment aggregators supporting UPI, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, and Wallet options.
• Pay at Salon: Where available, clients choosing "Pay at Salon" must clear the total bill directly with the salon counter upon service completion.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All brand assets, software codebases, graphics, trademarks ("urbanzen", "ur"), logos, UI designs, and database architectures are the exclusive property of UrbanZen Private Limited.

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the app for personal, non-commercial booking purposes. Any copying, reverse-engineering, scraping, or redistribution without express written consent is prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, UrbanZen Private Limited disclaims liability for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Service dissatisfaction, haircut preferences, or skin/hair reaction to products applied by salon personnel.
• Partner establishment operational delays, power failures, or temporary closures.
• Loss or theft of personal belongings on salon premises.

Our aggregate financial liability for any proven claim shall not exceed the total reservation fee paid by the client for the specific booking in question.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
